Are you planning to visit Walt Disney World this fall? If so, you’re probably planning to go to Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival or Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Or — if you’re like me — both!
And while these events are amazing, make time in your vacation schedule to also visit Disney Springs. Disney Springs has stores like World of Disney and many, many restaurants and snack kiosks. It also has free entertainment. Here are some of the things you can look forward to doing and eating at Disney Springs.
Marketplace Area
You’ll know you’re in Marketplace when you see the huge Volcano smoking (and erupting) at Rainforest Cafe. Marketplace is the closest section to the Sassagoula River boats that go to Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter, Saratoga Springs and Old Key West. You’ll find a small carousel here, the Disney Christmas store and the Photo Studio, next to Arriba Brothers, near Ghiradelli and the Advent Health performance stage.
Look for the Roving DJ Pumpkin who will be appearing nightly in Marketplace. Marketplace is also home to Swirls on the Water, one of my favorite snack stops for Dole Whip. Near the bridge near Rainforest Cafe, it will offer seasonal treats, such as the Vampire Mickey Cone: pumpkin and chocolate soft serve swirled into a black chocolate waffle cone. for $7.30 of the Dole Whip trio for $9.
Town Center Area
Town Center is another good part to visit. On Friday and Saturdays, ZomBeatz Drummers will play. Chicken Guy is a popular and inexpensive quick service restaurant offering a Harvest Apple Chicken sandwich for $8 and a Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake Shake for $7.
For amazing treats, visit Amorette’s Patisserie. For Halloween, they’re offering Hocus Pocus Eclairs, Pumpkin Spice Creme Brulee, Apple Cheesecake and more.

The Landing
The Landing section of Disney Springs is where you will find many popular restaurants, including the always spooky Gideon’s Bakery (cookies for $7) and its new partner restaurant, Six Ravens, offering Coffyns (savory hand pies — like Hot Pockets but much better!) for $11 each and Tatties (smashed potato morsels) for $9. Jock Linsday’s Hangar Bar is a table service bar and restaurant that will be elaborately decorated for Halloween. They are famous for their Halloween appetizers and drinks, including, this year, Bone Kebabs, Alien Invader Chicken Sliders and deviled eggs served in a black candelabra, among others.
There are treats to be tried in The Landing, as well. The Ganachery will sell a decadent Ursula Berry Chocolate Cake Pop with the flavor of cassis. The Pumpkin Spice S’more also looks tempting.

For a cold treat, visit Vivoli il Gelato for a Jack-o-Lantern shake (orange and vanilla), Werewolf Shake (chocolate) or Gremlin Shake (mint) for $13.
West Side
There are lots of places that serve alcohol at Disney Springs but I thought the drinks at Splitsville in the West Side section (11 am – 10 pm) looked the most festive. Don’t be fooled — Splitsville is a bowling alley but it’s also a full service restaurant where you can dine whether you are bowling or not. Their Flight of Fright sampler of four Halloween-themed frozen cocktails looks fun. They are also serving Halloween mocktails, appetizers and entrees.
Have you been to Disney Springs before? If so, what places do you recommend?
