Christmas is coming to Walt Disney World! Time to make plans…

It may feel early to be thinking about Christmas…but in 60 days, Walt Disney World kicks off its holiday season in an official way on Friday, November 13 with a tree-lighting at Disney Springs.

60 days is an important number to remember. That is the earliest time you can make reservations for high-demand events. For example,

  • September 9: the earliest you can make a reservation for a fireworks dessert package at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
  • September 27: First day you can make advance dining reservations for Thanksgiving dinner at Walt Disney World.
  • September 28: First day you can reserve a Candlelight Processional package on Epcot’s opening day of “Festival of the Holidays” on November 27.

If you are planning to go to Disney World during the holidays, right now is the best time to purchase tickets for popular events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights. You may also want to reserve hotel rooms and make travel arrangements, such as flights, if you have not done so already.

Your Disney Planner can help you keep you keep track of reservation details and confirmation numbers. Happy Planning!
